78% of Marketers Targeting Social Media and Social Networking (aka Web 2.0)

The Word of Mouth Marketing Association or WOMMA reports “According to the recent “State of the Marketer” report from Eloqua, 78% of marketers say they plan to increase their advertising spending on social networking sites in the next three years. These findings, according to eMarketer, are in line with its projections that this category of advertising spend will reach $2.36 billion by 2011.”
